Fairuz Karim holds an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour with a double minor in Sociology and Sustainability from McMaster University. She has taken several courses involving research methods, qualitative research methods, data analysis, and community engagement. She has several years of experience in conducting quantitative and qualitative research within a community setting in Hamilton. Through these experiences, she has developed surveys, ran focus groups, held interviews, and conducted qualitative data analysis using NVIVO. Fairuz has completed the TCPS2: Course on Research Ethics. Overall, Fairuz’s professional and academic experiences have exposed her to the various stages, types, and elements of the research process.
