Peola Ellis has completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Ottawa in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences with a Minor in Life Sciences and a Specialization in Integrative Health Biosciences. Throughout her academic journey she pursued excellence in academia and research inside and outside of the classroom. To date, she has been an instrumental leader in research at the University of Toronto and the University of Ottawa in the field of nanotechnology and its application to medicine, in combination with studying tropical diseases in medicine. She has also presented in international conferences such as the Interdisciplinary Student Research Conference in Healthcare, the University of Toronto International Health Conferences, and the University of Toronto Medical Student Research Conference. She is also very familiar with published research, in which she has published two peer-reviewed journal and on report during her undergraduate degree. Currently, Peola is a student in the Translational Research Program at the University of Toronto where she plans to use her research background and skills to contribute to contribute to this project in a meaningful way.
